Serve with potatoes and salad for Sunday dinner. This makes a great meal and plenty of leftovers for next day sandwiches!
Ingredients
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 1/2 teaspoon pepper
* 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
* 4 lb bottom round roast -- (4 to 5)
* 3 tablespoons oil
* 12 ounces cola
* 12 ounces chili sauce
* 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
* 2 tablespoons hot pepper sauce (Tabasco)
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 325ºF.
2. In a small bowl, combine the salt, pepper, and garlic powder; rub over surface of roast.
3. In a Dutch oven, heat the oil to hot and brown roast on all sides.
4. Transfer roast to roasting pan.
5. Combine all the remaining ingredients; pour over roast.
6. Cover and roast for 2 1/2-3 hours until tender.
7. Remove and let rest 10 minutes before slicing.
8. Makes great leftovers for sandwiches!
